Introduction

This install guide covers step two of the installation process, in which the OIPA Cycle is configured using TomEE. Please refer to the OIPA database installation instructions in the documentation library provided with the release to ensure the database is set up correctly.

Insurance products OIPA, OIRP, Service Layer and Admin Console are being enhanced to support TomEE deployment. Apache TomEE is the Java Enterprise Edition of Apache Tomcat (Tomcat + Jakarta EE = TomEE) that combines several Java enterprise projects including Apache OpenEJB, Apache OpenWebBeans, Apache OpenJPA, Apache MyFaces and others. The TomEE version that is used for OIPA is TomEE Plume 10.1.x.

Pre-Requisites

Before beginning the installation steps, you must have the following components:

• Recommended Java Version: Java 17.0.x or higher

• Supported TomEE 10.1.x Plume installed on a supported OS.

• Administrative rights to the server.

• Oracle Insurance Policy Administration Cycle V12.2.0.0 Media Pack from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

• Download Java 17.0.x from - https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#java17 (Search for version)
• Download TomEE from - https://tomee.apache.org/download.html
